Reports directly to the Chief Pilot

Responsibilities:

. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and foreign regulations, as well as adhering to company policies and procedures outlined in the operations manual. The second in command plays a crucial role as the company’s prominent representative to passengers, requiring the highest level of professionalism while ensuring the efficiency and safety of operations. Operations are conduced under FAR Part 91 and 135.

Key Job Functions:

  • Act as Second in Command (SIC)
  • Adhere to schedules and directives governing aircraft operation
  • Conduct preflight inspections
  • Study weather conditions for destinations, en route, alternate airports, and departure points
  • Prepare or review flight plans
  • Ensure the aircraft is well-maintained and provisioned for passenger safety and comfort
  • Review and calculate weight and balance, fuel burn, and aircraft performance
  • Utilize checklists as per Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Supervise the first officer for smooth and efficient operation
  • Coordinate the functioning of all assigned crew members
  • Make decisions related to flight start, delay, cancellation, or deviation from planned routes based on operating conditions
  • Remain available to crew and departmental staff during duty hours through company communication channels
  • Work nonstandard schedules, including weekends and holidays
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and excellent follow-through

Qualifications:

  • Multi-Engine Land Airline Transport Pilots License (ATPL)
  • Current First Class medical certificate
  • Proficient in radiotelephony communications
  • Ability to pass drug tests, TSA background screenings, and obtain ID badge and ramp driving privileges
  • Valid passport and driver’s license
  • Reside within a two-hour personal commute time from the listed base (consideration for relocation)

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Proficiency in business software: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Minimum Pilot Requirements:

  1. 1,500 total flight hours
  2. 150 hours of multi-engine time
  3. ATP or ATP written
